Anomaly Screenings During Pregnancy: There are screening tests that are performed during certain weeks of pregnancy and provide preliminary information on whether there is a genetic anomaly (aneuplodia) in the fetus. Screening tests do not give a definitive diagnosis, they only give a risk ratio based on the possibility of anomaly. In line with this ratio, a decision is made whether to perform a definitive diagnostic test (Choryonvillus biopsy, Amniocentesis, etc.). Since definitive diagnostic tests involve some risks (miscarriage, infection, etc.), they are not applied to everyone. There are many screening tests available today. The most reliable of these is the test that allows the evaluation of fetal cells in the latest maternal blood. Apart from this, double, triple and quadruple screening tests are available.
